Monetize Guidelines
Last updated: 19 October 2026
This page governs StaqOn’s “Monetize” feature — one-time join fees for external teams. It applies together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Our role
When a workspace owner sets a join fee for an external team, the owner is the seller. StaqOn (operated by VistarKriya Marketings Private Limited, “VMPL”) acts only as a payment collection intermediary on the owner’s behalf. Payments are processed through VMPL’s payment gateway partner, Cashfree Payments India Private Limited. Invoices are issued in the owner’s own name, with the owner’s details and the owner’s own invoice numbering, and the amount paid is credited to the owner’s Monetize Wallet after VMPL’s commission and any applicable TDS.
VMPL charges a commission of 30% of the fee the owner sets (the fee before GST), deducted from the payment before the wallet is credited. Where required, VMPL also deducts 1% tax at source under Section 194-O of the Income-tax Act on the gross amount paid (including GST), except for an individual or HUF owner whose gross Monetize sales in the financial year do not exceed ₹5,00,000, based on the owner’s PAN. TDS is deposited against the owner’s PAN and shown in each wallet entry.
VMPL is not a party to, and makes no representation about, the content, value, or legitimacy of what the owner’s team or community offers members. The owner is solely responsible for what they promise members in exchange for the join fee.
GST
Every owner using Monetize must hold a valid GSTIN. 18% GST is added on top of the base fee, shown to the payer before they pay, and reported on the owner’s invoice under the owner’s GSTIN. The owner is the seller and is responsible for their own GST: the GST collected is credited to the owner’s Monetize Wallet together with the fee (less the commission and any TDS above), and the owner must report and remit it under applicable law.
What we capture
- From the owner (Shop Detail): PAN, GSTIN and HSN/SAC code (if provided), business name and address, an optional logo, email and phone, and bank account name, number and IFSC — used solely to process payouts and generate the owner’s invoices.
- From the payer: name, email, mobile number, payment amount, payment method, and transaction/order identifiers from Cashfree. VMPL does not store full card numbers or UPI credentials — those are handled directly by Cashfree.
- Transaction records: fee amount, GST (if applicable), commission, TDS withheld, amounts credited, invoice records, and timestamps, retained for accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes, and as required by applicable law.
Sharing
Payment data is shared with Cashfree solely to process the transaction. The owner’s Shop Detail is never shown to payers beyond what appears on the owner’s invoice (business name, address, logo, GSTIN, HSN/SAC code, email and phone, where provided). Payers’ contact details are visible only to the team owner they paid, for managing their membership.
Refunds and disputes
Join fees are generally non-refundable once access to the team’s thread is granted, except: (a) a duplicate or erroneous charge for the same join event, (b) a verified technical failure where payment was collected but access was never granted, (c) a refund the owner chooses to honor for their own reasons, processed at VMPL’s discretion and deducted from the owner’s wallet balance. Disputed or reversed payments may result in VMPL recovering the owner’s credited share from the owner’s wallet or future earnings.
See our Refunds & Cancellations page for our general refund policy.
Withdrawals
Wallet balances may be withdrawn to the owner’s registered bank account, subject to a minimum amount, completed Shop Detail, and manual review before payout. VMPL may pause withdrawals or gating if an owner’s compliance details are incomplete or under review.
