StaqOn · Projects

Bigger work, organized properly.

A Project brings your internal team and outside partners into one place, with real tasks — an owner, a lifecycle, and a status that everyone can trust.

Why Projects

A Circle is a conversation. A Project is the work itself.

01

Internal and external, together

Add people from your own workspace and partners from outside it to the same Project, so the work isn't split across two conversations.

02

Tasks with a real owner

Every task has a creator. Who can open it, put it on hold, or close it out is controlled by that permission — not by whoever happens to be online.

03

Chat, documents and activity in one tab set

A Project's conversation, shared documents and activity log sit side by side, using the same document handling as the rest of StaqOn's chats.

Task lifecycle

Open, on hold, or closed — and closing takes two steps on purpose.

A task's creator — and the Project's creator — control its state. Nobody closes a task by accident.

01

Open

A task starts open and stays visible to everyone in the Project until someone with permission moves it.

02

On hold

Put a task on hold when it's blocked, without losing its history or having to close it out early.

03

Closed — with a confirm

Closing a task is a two-step confirmation, so it can't happen from a stray tap. Once confirmed, the task stays in the record as closed.

Project status

Active, On Hold, or Completed — and Hold actually means hold.

When a Project is put on hold, only its creator can send messages. No one — creator included — can add or remove members or tasks while it's held.

State Active

Everything works normally

Members message, tasks move, files land in the shared Documents tab — the same as any StaqOn conversation.

State On Hold

Locked down, not archived

Only the creator can send messages
No one can change tasks
No one can change members
State Completed

The record stays

Chat, documents and activity remain in place once a Project is marked complete, so the full history is still there to refer back to.

Everything in one place

Chat, Documents and Activity, side by side.

Real-time notifications

A new message, a task moving, a member joining — every Project update reaches the people in it the moment it happens.

Documents, the same way

The Project's Documents tab reuses the same file handling as StaqOn's regular conversations — nothing new to learn to find a shared file.
